The moment of truth – putting Category Management into action at store level

Category Management on all levels is very important for a collaborative success and always starts with a Top Management commitment, from both the Trade and Supplier side. Category Management is NOT an academic process and doesn’t require a high level of competence, it is actually very basic.

  • Understand category management issues and opportunities;
  • Category management from project to process;
  • Effective POS-data analyses and tools;
  • Optimising price, assortment, promotions, place and space using store action plan.

We plan to use around 1 hour focusing on the highlights and best practice experience related to each topic.

Objectives

  • To have a clear understanding of the values of working with Category Management on store level
  • Understand what it takes to move from project to process
  • Get a clear understand of how to measure and manage sales and profit effectiveness
  • See the true value of working proactively with P.O.S data

Target audience

  • All personnel working with Category Management responsible of business building and development
  • Business-oriented functions on all levels within retail companies, marketing, key account, purchasing, category managers and sales personnel

Basic understanding of Category Management, what and how
