The shopper: time for a radical re-think?
How well do we really know
our shoppers? Just how good are we at even understanding
– never mind satisfying – their needs?
In a series of four linked breakout sessions focusing on the shopper, speakers at
the ECR Europe Forum & Marketplace in Berlin will radically reappraise some
traditional industry attitudes on shopper behaviour – and reveal some startling
new insights into the ways shoppers think.
For the first time at an ECR Europe conference, the ever-popular shopper sessions
will follow a sequential route. They will start by raising awareness and providing
a call to action for suppliers and retailers, identify new ways to target shoppers,
show how retailers can differentiate in a crowded and mature market, and examine
the advantages of a joint supplier-retailer approach that is truly shopper-centric.
The breakout sessions in Berlin will be split into five themed “streams”. In addition
to the Shopper stream, the others will be devoted to Sustainability, Business Strategies,
Enabling Technologies and the Supply Chain, making it easier for delegates to identify
and attend the sessions that particularly interest them.
